The Muskegon downtown area is the perfect host for Steel Horse Alley and this event. Today marked the end of the second annual Bike Time. Here’s some snapshots of a few little things I found interesting. I haven’t gone through all of my snapshots or photos yet. I have some stunt shots but they’re not released like last years were. If I find any that I can post when I process them, I’ll post em here. That’s a big “if”.

It’s not Christmas time yet but I’m starting to prepare. The photography business can get busy during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season so I’ve started putting together my custom made Christmas photo card packages. These are 5X7 cards with a Christmas greeting & a photo (on some cards more then one photo) from your session. Each design comes in a pack of 25 cards. Keep an eye on the website as I add more custom made cards. You might find something just right. It’s a good idea to book your fall/winter sessions early for Christmas photos or other fall/winter events. If you wait until fall it will be harder to find an opening in the appointment book.
One thing I’ve personally changed about my family’s Christmas is the retail thing. No more going on a retail buying frenzy. That’s not my idea of what Christmas is about. Instead, now we have a much more toned down, quieter Christmas season and I don’t miss the old way of doing things at all.

If you book your appointment before my June schedule is filled you will get a free photo session up to two hours in the location(s) of your choice, with as many clothing changes as you can fit into a two hour session. My advice would be to limit the clothing changes to three in order to maintain enough quality shooting time. But the choice is yours. After all, this is your session. Your images will be placed in a private, password protected, online photo gallery for you to view within 14 days of your session. All orders will be professionally printed on Kodak Professional Endura Paper. I’m offering an additional discount on orders from the free June sessions. Call it a kind of Grand Opening sale. You’ll get a 30% discount on your total order. (Order minimum of $80 applies) If you order before July you’ll also have the option to purchase a 50 pack of the wildly popular, double sided, 411 cards for $25.

Congratulations to the three winners who won Earthtones Photography gift cards in the Lowell High School freshman’s benefit raffle. Call me to make an appointment for your photo session. Both phone numbers on your gift card will reach me, but the 481 number is the one that reaches me the quickest. My normal phone/business hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday. That doesn’t include session time, since I book sessions by appointment only and like to be available for sunrise and sunset light. I am an ‘on location’ photographer so my assistant, Patrick, and I will be happy to meet you at your home or another spot you might have in mind for your session. If you aren’t sure where you’d like the session to take place I can offer some suggestions. I know some of you will prefer an outdoor session and might want to wait for the warmer spring weather. Still, you’ll want to get your appointment in my book in order to reserve your date. I make appointments on a first come, first serve basis.

We are an ‘on location’ service. My husband/assistant, Patrick, and I will happily go to your home or any other location of your choice in the West Michigan area.
Having that site up makes me feel like celebrating so I’m knocking down the price of my session fee until the end of April. For a $40 fee you can have a photo session of up to two hours. That’s a savings of $10. Minimum package purchase of $100 applies.
Until the end of May, graduating Seniors can have a $30 session fee up to two hours with a minimum package purchase of $200. This special is for anyone who is late getting their 2008 Senior photos and also for the 2009 Seniors. It’s a great deal so hurry and book your appointment before they’re all filled.
