What You Can Do to Make Your Session a Success?
First of all, congratulations on your decision to have a custom portraiture session! We make investments on material items every day that will break, lose value, or be a passing trend, but custom portraiture is a keepsake that you will treasure forever. There is nothing more important on this earth to us than those we love. And there is never a better time than right now. I've seen far too many people wait until it was too late.
Now, let us give you a few recommendations to make your custom portraiture session a success.
Clothing. Listen carefully to what your photographer has to say about clothing recommendations. If more than one subject will be in the photograph, be sure the clothing choices do not clash. Stripes and patterns are not good choices.
Communicate well with your photographer. If children are involved let your photographer know of their interests, likes, and dislikes.
Let your photographer know what your primary objective is for the session. If you especially want a photograph of little Billy with Grandpa with a fishing pole at the river, communicate this to your photographer.
Pay attention to the details. I always recommend manicures and pedicures before a session. Many photographers do hand and feet shots.
Be yourself....relax....and have fun.
